Notley Green Primary School
A wonderful primary school with already great spaces and a lot of potential. We have now completed our project, which included planting a native hedge and transforming a lawn into a thriving meadow.
Latest Update
March '24: The hedge is now fully established, having started with around 50 small tree whips donated by the Woodland Trust back in December '23. We prepared a large area, sowed wildflower seeds, and planted bulbs. In February 24’, we added many more larger hedge plants along the school’s fences, completing the transformation.

Stomp stomp
Stomping on the ground after planting a whip helps compact the soil around the roots, ensuring good soil contact, stability, and better water retention for healthy growth.

A long fence separates the school from a public playground, and we covered it with hedge plants and climbers.
