Holly Lodge Estate - Community Gardens

It’s still early days, but we have been working on the Holly Lodge Estate behind the community centre. This area boasts large green spaces that could benefit from some TLC and offer more biodiversity and habitats for wildlife. We are committed to working together with the local community by issuing surveys for everyone to get a say on what gets done. It’s truly a lovely project!

Latest Update

February '25: Late last year we created a log pile and a leaf pile to offer some habitat for local wildlife. We have now planted a native hedge along a metal fence.

This project is strategically placed within our Hedgehog Corridor which you can learn more about HERE.

We have revamped a rose bed and turned it into a mini orchard. A survey was sent out to give the community a chance to choose their apple trees. We’re always keen on variety in order to offer apples throughout the autumn season as well as blossoms throughout spring for our bees!
